Auburn Delta Chi History

Picture

Delta Chi at Auburn University was founded in 1951 and has proudly been a part of campus life for 75 years. The chapter’s house, one of the first to be built on new fraternity row, remains in the same spot it was originally established, conveniently located at the entrance near Wire Road. Its timeless brick design, paired with the bold delta x block letters, makes the house instantly recognizable. The road provides a scenic view of the house's spacious backyard, complete with a painted deck and a sand volleyball court. This area is a hub of activity, where you can always find brothers gathering for events, reflecting the fraternity's lively, close-knit spirit.

National Delta Chi History

Picture
Delta Chi was founded on October 13, 1890, at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Its eleven founders (pictured left) sought to create a fraternity that emphasized friendship, personal integrity, and academic success. Originally established as a law fraternity, Delta Chi quickly expanded beyond its legal roots to become a social fraternity open to men of all fields of study. The fraternity is built around four core values: promoting friendship, developing character, advancing justice, and assisting in the acquisition of a sound education. Delta Chi is also proud of its philanthropic efforts, particularly its partnership with the Jimmy V Foundation for cancer research. With over 130 active chapters across North America, Delta Chi continues to provide its members with a network of support, personal growth, and opportunities that extend well beyond college.
